The webinars are aimed at occupational and physiotherapists who see patients with hand injuries but do not have any specialized training in this area. However, anyone who is interested in hand-injury care is welcome to join.

Everyone who registered for the webinar will receive a link within a week of the webinar with access to the recording. The time period for which the recording will be available will be indicated during the webinar. Older webinars are also available on our YouTube channel.

We are currently evaluating if the Open Hand webinars should continue next year. To do this we are carrying out a research study on this webinar series, which runs from July to December. If our research shows that the webinars are beneficial and feasible, then we will continue to offer them next year.

If you are a generalist occupational therapist or physiotherapist, meaning that you see a mixed caseload which includes hand injuries, and/or that you don’t have a post-graduate qualification in hand therapy, then you can help us by participating in our research study. The purpose of the research study is to determine how effective the webinars are and to help us decide if they should continue. We would really value your input.

All you have to do to participate is fill out the post-webinar questionnaire for any webinars that you attend (which is the same questionnaire that you have to fill out to get a CPD point or an attendance certificate), select that you agree to participate on the last page of the questionnaire, and fill out one extra questionnaire in December evaluating the whole webinar series.

You can also tell your colleagues who are generalist occupational and physiotherapists involved in hand-injury care about the Open Hand webinar series, and encourage them to join us and give us their feedback.
