Attending a webinar

Registration opens a few weeks before the webinar. Follow the Zoom registration link in the webinar advert. The advert for the next webinar can be found here.

The webinars are aimed at occupational and physiotherapists who see patients with hand injuries but do not have any specialized training in this area. However, anyone who is interested in hand-injury care is welcome to join.

No. Attendance is free.

Everyone who registered for the webinar will receive a link within a week of the webinar with access to the recording. Webinars are also made available on our YouTube channel.

Continued education credits

Yes, you will receive 1 free CPD point for each webinar you attend. You will need to enter your HPCSA number during the registration process. You will then need to fill out the post-webinar questionnaire within 24 hours after the webinar has ended. The CPD point will be allocated to you automatically.

Yes. You will need to enter your council registration number during the registration process. You will then need to fill out the post-webinar questionnaire within 24 hours after the webinar has ended. You will receive a certificate of attendance via email as soon as it is ready.

You will need to attend the whole webinar in order to get a CPD point or attendance certificate. If the webinar happens to go over time you may leave without forfeiting your continued education credits.

No, CPD points and certificates are only available to participants who attend the webinar live and fill out the post webinar questionnaire within 24 hours after the webinar has ended.

Becoming an Open Hand presenter

Yes. If you have experience working in a low- to middle-income country and would like to volunteer as a presenter, then we would love for you to share your knowledge and experiences with us.
