It was a warm Friday afternoon in March 2024 when Nicola and Kirsty met for the first time at a coffee shop in Johannesburg to brainstorm ideas for developing hand therapy educational resources. They had only met once before, but their shared sense of purpose immediately ignited a captivating conversation. They left the meeting with a plan for a 6 month webinar project.

Erica joined soon after, and the next few months flew by in a frenzy of organising topics and presenters, setting up social media accounts, learning how to use Zoom and designing a website.

Today we can look back and celebrate how far we have come and how what came to be known as Open Hand has exceeded our expectations!
